Growth of Inside Sales in 2020 and beyond
No one expects that year 2020 will bring us this pandemic. This year is a testing year for all of us. All of us are directly or indirectly affected by the pandemic situation. We have seen many layoffs.
But, can I grow as an inside sales reps in the year 2020? This question many inside sales reps has in there mind.
I believe there would be a growth of inside sales reps in 2020.
Let discuss why.
So, what are inside sales?
Inside sales in a job role that require selling or product or services sitting at the office. Now, most of the offices are not operational due to the lockdown, so, inside sales reps are working from home.
While they are working from home, they are concern about the recognization of their work and the growth.
So, the current situation may be an obstacle from all the inside sales reps for their growth?
I believe no. This current situation is the opportunity for all the inside sales reps to grow.
How?
In the current situation, the field sales reps are working over the phone only or using the internet platform only.
There is no face to face meeting or interaction. Traditionally, most of the company believe that in-person meeting requires for hight ticket closer. But, no one is in the field now.
All sales reps have to work as inside sales reps only. The general prediction seems that companies will hire more inside sales reps who can close deals over the phone only.
Inside sales reps will have an advantage over telesales reps who only focus on lead generation but not on closer. Few tools and techniques are must for all inside sales reps for the desired growth.
Below are few:
Fundoodata.
All inside sales reps require a database for calling or for an email campaign. I recommend Fundoodata for the Indian market. Fundoodata is a database portal.

Mailchimp.

Hubspot CRM is useful for leads tracking. First, one has to provide all leads details inside the CRM. CRM will help in follow-ups with prospects. You can track the progress of the lead till closer. I use this CRM and very much enjoy working with it. I recommend this CRM for leads tracking.
Microsoft Excell.
Yes, we all are using MS Excell in our day to day work life. But, using it in full potential is required.
Here we can segregate the leads in suspects, prospects, leads, warm leads, and cold leads. We can use our time slots wisely based on the urgency of the account.
Canva.
EDM and flyers are very important for an email campaign. You can showcase your products perfectly in an EDM with very little content and full of images. EDM catches the attention of our prospects.
EDM benefits in getting responses from the customers.
These are the primary tools all inside sales reps must use to get the desired success.
