Your Sales Target is Your Sales Target, None of Others Sales Target😊

I would request you to imagine two scenarios,
Scenario one:
Patient: Doctor, I am having pain in my stomach.
Doctor: This is March, I will give you a good year ending discount if you go for an operation.
Patient: Operation? but, why? what problem do I have?
Doctor: Don't worry. We will look into all this at a later stage.
I have my yearly targets. so, please go for the operation. I will give you an awesome discount. so, when I can expect the payments, you have to make 100% advance!
Awkard right? We all have gone to a doctor but, never listen to something like this, right?
Scenario two:
Salesman: Sir, I am from XYZ company. We are global leaders in providing services.
Client: Okay, currently we are not looking for anything.
Salesman: Sir, I would like to inform you that currently, we have Year ending discount going on. I have my Yearly targets so, I will give you at least a 60% discount on our services! So, when can I expect the PO Sir?
Now, I guess it's not awkward! All salesperson have used something like this. Its common practice in sales in India.
We believe that our prospects only consider the price of a product/services and they would be interested if we able to achieve our yearly target or not.
but, why this practice in sales?
Being a Sales professional, I believe that we should not talk about out sales targets to the prospects or clients rather we can focus on the solution that we are offering to our prospects and the benefits that they could receive. If the requirements are not urgent then we could take their corporate email id and could regularly post them about our features updates, newsletters, newly acquired customers list especially in the same industry and so on.
Sales target is internal to your organization and should not be shared with everyone.
Being nice to your prospects and showing ethical sales practice is rare to find nowadays.
Even though you are striving to achieve success and rise above the ordinary. Never forget to be nice with your prospects and never force them to buy some product/services by telling them your sales target or year ending discounts in your organization. You should be very careful about whatever small information of your product/service or about your organization you are sharing with your prospects. This is how you build trust with the prospects. And not by sharing Year-end discounts or your sales targets.
You should very cautious about your sales speech with your prospects because you are a smart human in this smart industry where expectation from industry is very high. Not to forget you are here to create a legacy in each and every role you play in your organization.
